Carol Jean (Ucci) Radick, 89, of West Lebanon, NH formerly of Orford, NH and Riverside, RI passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2023 with her family by her side. Carol was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend to many.

Carol was born in White Plains, NY on August 4, 1933, daughter to Joseph and Marie Ucci. She was a 1951 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel in White Plains, NY. She then attended and graduated from The Washington School of Secretaries in New York City. After graduation Carol was employed by Batten, Barton, Durstine, & Osborne in advertising and then by J. Walter Thompson in NYC as an Advertising Assistant. She then joined Old Stone Bank in Rhode Island as an Administrative Assistant in Public Relations. She later became a Departmental Officer and a Public Relations Officer there.

In 1989, after moving to Orford, NH Carol was employed by the Aloha Foundation in Fairlee, VT as a Development Officer where she did fundraising and wrote and produced publications until her retirement in 1998.

Carol married Thomas L. Radick on December 9, 1966. While living and working in RI they owned a sailboat and would sail every weekend in the summer. They built their beloved A-frame chalet in Orford, NH and would escape there for quiet weekends in the winter to cross-country ski and snowshoe, eventually retiring there full time. Carol and Tom did not have children but their dogs, Marmaduke, Czar, and Sasha were dearly loved. She loved and cared for her nieces and nephews as her own with much love. Carol was a talented artist who painted Christmas angel plaques and sewed beautiful gifts. She played the guitar, grew herbs and beautiful daisies, was an avid reader, loved to go for walks, and was a great cook! Carol was an amazing person with a flair for fashion and a great sense of humor. She lived her life with grace and she was always grateful for all of the blessings in her life: family, friends, good books, good music, her monthly fashion magazines, experiences, and adventures. She never complained and always saw the glass as full! While living at Quail Hollow she enjoyed and was honored to help manage the Library. Her neighbors and friends there welcomed and loved her and she returned that love and friendship.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Thomas L. Radick, in December 2018 and her beloved siblings Michael and Frederick Ucci and Grace Marie Carney. She is survived by her sister, Joanne Ucci Cerrato and her husband, John, of Suffield, CT.

Carol will be missed by her sister and her many nieces and nephews especially Jeffrey Carney and his wife, Heather Green, and Susan Phelps, who took excellent care of her until her death. She will also be missed by her friends and neighbors at Quail Hollow.

Honoring Carol’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral. A Celebration of Life and private burial will be at a future date. Many thanks to friends and neighbors at Quail Hollow for their friendship and support. Many thanks to Passion for Home Care who assisted Carol the last few days and to Bayada Hospice who was there for Carol and her family for many weeks.

Donations in Carol’s memory may be made to Bayada Hospice, bayada.com
